Aroma: nuts and polished wood, then notes of sea, lemon, orange and vanilla emerge. With some time I get more maritime character, but honey, lemon drops and tangerines are also present. Reminds a bit their official 12 year old. With water citrussy character is more significant - lemons and walnuts oil.
Palate: peppery, lots of vanilla, citrus fruits, honey and peanuts. With water malt becomes more salty with notes of malt, wood polish and walnuts. Finish: sweet, then bit salty, with honey and lemon.
Comments: I do not feel lots of sherry cask - maybe not active one (3rd fill?). Nutty nuances are present, but they do not take lead, giving place to humble fruitiness which is pleasant.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
