Bunnahabhain 12 Year old (2012)
- Distillery: Bunnahabhain
Recent version of this nice malt. Higher in strength and unchill-filtered. Great improvement!
Aroma: nuts and caramel. Notes of hoeny and caramelized sugar. Some rasins and charred wood. Orange peel with traces of clove and sherry. Palate: wood, salt, caramel. Orange jam with eucalyptus and honey. Fresh and alive. Finish: coastal with notes of zest, caramel and traces of peanuts. Comments: coastal but gentle. You can feel influence of sea and of sherry. Fresh, with personal character. Nice mix of caramel, nuts and honey.
The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
