I try to retaste this malt each 1-2 years, as knowing distillery history, the contents of this malt is much older than 15. 2014 release should be around 18-19 years old.

Aroma: figs, raisins, tanned skin. Sour red berries. Cinnamon, cacao.
Palate: bit dry at the beginning moving towards sweet style, full of raisins, figs, black chocolate and cinnamon. Chocolate cake with walnuts and orange peel. Just nice balanced one. Finish: long, with notes of mil chocolate and raisins.
Comment: well made. Still very good as earlier. Some single casks coming from this distillery are sublime, some are below average, but this regular expression - still very stable. Very regular! For many of those reasons, it is harder and harder to find this expression in certain markets at 2016.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
