Aroma: nuts, dried fruits, figs, raisins, oily wood. Very complex and various, needs some time to open up.
Palate: wood tannins are complemented well with dried fruits, chocolate and pepper. Powerful. Finish: spicy, long and sticky.
Comment: great malt, japanese quality. Powerful, leaves no ignorance. Swims well neat (as usully sherried malt does).

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
