Aroma: sweet peat and caramel. Leather, coal, burnt rubber. Sea breeze, notes of oysters and seaweed. Smoked ham. Great, deep smoky maritime character.
Palate: smoke, ashes with burnt caramel, wood coal and rubber. Maple syrup with salt. Leather and wood polish. Deep and full. Doesn't need water at all. Finish: long, changing from salty to sweet, with leather and burnt wood notes.
Comment: it's hard not to love it - powerfull, bet so elegant and full of taste. It's been for a while to have such a long finish in whisky. As usually, benefits from time in the glass.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
