Aroma: I had this bottling couple of years ago, it seemed more sherried that time. This one has lots of orange and cacao notes. Eucalpytus, lemon, dried fruits. Sure, it isn't 1st fill sherry cask - for this price it's unrealistic. But aroma is well balanced anyway. Citrus fruits and coffee.
Palate: walnuts, orange liqueur, pepper, lime peel, leather, cacao. Cinnamon, tobacco box. Finish: orange peel, leather and cacao.
Comment: pleasant, classic sherried style malt. Great quality/price ratio in my humble opinion.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
