I always liked these cask strength releases in these "vases". Everything I tried (not so many for now) from Signatory Cask Strength Collection, was good. For this one we have release of 259 bottles, from hogshead numberer 48481.

Aroma: ripe fruits with liquorice and hints of almonds. With water - more fruits and some flowers, light vanilla.
Palate: oily, with notes of pear, apples and hint of sherry. Wood and pepper goes well in the back. Nice without water. With water fruits becomes more bitter - we have more leather, zest and grapefruit. Finish: warm, fruity, wtih notes of leather and grapefruit.
Comments: nice aroma, palate didn't deliver so well. Swims well neat. Water revealed some more character of Longmorn I'd say. But fruitiness was reduced. Clean and robust. It's all clear with it. In a good sense.

The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
