Macallan 14 year old 1997/2012 (Adelphi)
- Distillery: Macallan
From Adelphi, sherried classy one. Run of 215 bottles.
Aroma: dried fruits, caramel, toffee notes. Some hints of nuts. Palate: spices goes well with dried figs and sultanas. Some notes of wood and chocolate. Oak is slightly present. Finish: nice, good sherried one. Comments: much more pleasant than many young officials. But quiet rare. I would take this one better than box of Fine Oak.
The ratings system that we use is based on personal opinion and reflects only a personal momentary impression about the tasted whiskey. We do not represent any producers of whiskey and we are not in the whiskey business ourselves. However, we have our personal sympathies for particular whiskeys. We are human, therefore the ratings that we give are subjective. Furthermore, they are given with comparisons to other whiskeys in mind. We decided to use convienent and widely used 100 points system.
